Great food in a great place
Tamarind Island is a family-owned roti shop in Jamaica, Queens, serving a menu of Guyanese and Trinidadian dishes. After opening in February 2023, the restaurant quickly became a local favorite for its freshly made roti and flavorful Caribbean cuisine. However, a fire in August 2025 significantly damaged the restaurant, forcing it to close for rebuilding.
